Lori Nickel is the Vice President for Inclusion and Diversity at MUFG in the Americas. Her current initiatives include serving as Secretary for the Leadership Committee for Inclusion and Diversity, managing the Education and Awareness, Branding and Communications, and Internal Partnerships strategic imperatives for Inclusion and Diversity function.
She is a regular speaker on diversity and inclusion panels, and develops and delivers diversity and inclusion training both internally and externally.
Lori was instrumental in the development of the 2015-2017 strategy for the I&D department and regularly consults with global partners across the MUFG enterprise in the area of Inclusion and Diversity.
Lori joined MUFG in 2011. Prior to joining the Inclusion & Diversity team, she has held the position of Senior Facilitator with the Enterprise Leadership Development Team. In this role, she consulted with leaders to develop training to enhance the performance of their teams. Lori is certified to facilitate 21 different courses which range in focus from generations, communication skills, leadership development, personal development and productivity, and trust.
Prior to her career in banking, Lori was a regional executive for a nation-wide pet care company, overseeing 15 geographically dispersed locations and managing a workforce of 500 employees. She also managed the leader development and merger and acquisition programs.
Lori is in the midst of obtaining a second degree in International Business with minors in Human Resources and Spanish. She currently holds a degree from Murray State College in an area of veterinary medicine.
