Founder's Welcome
Dear Participants,
It is my privilege to welcome you to the Third Annual California Diversity & Leadership Conference. I am very excited about our 2010 Conference scheduled for May 12-14, 2009. We have a great keynote speaker in Dr. Cornel West. Dr. West is one of the most dynamic speakers in our country. In addition to our keynote speaker, the conference will have over 50 speakers and more than 25 different breakout sessions focusing on the various topics of diversity and leadership.
The purpose of this conference is three fold. First, this conference is obviously a great place for professional development. The list of excellent speakers and the various sessions on both diversity and leadership will definitely provide one with tremendous insight. Second, this conference is about community. It gives the California Community a forum to have dialogue on very important topics that affects everyone in the state. It is essential that this open dialogue takes place in order for there to be progress. Third, this conference is about the future of California. As each day passes, California becomes more and more diverse. If companies and organizations do not learn how to successfully leverage and manage diversity, it will be very challenging for them to remain competitive.
